Stocked for Success

Meet the People Behind the Programs
Watch the campaign kickoff and follow along as Lisa visits campuses across the A&M System. New videos and stories will introduce the students, staff members, volunteers and supporters behind these programs and show how practical help can keep a student moving toward a degree and career.
Helping students meet basic needs, stay enrolled and prepare for the workforce
A student should not lose momentum toward a degree because their refrigerator is empty or professional clothing for an interview is out of reach. Stocked for Success highlights and supports the campus food pantries, career closets and other university programs that provide practical help when it can make a lasting difference.
Led by Student Regent Lisa D. Cantu and organized with the Chancellor’s Century Council, Stocked for Success will feature all 12 universities in The Texas A&M University System through May 2027. The campaign builds on work already underway on each campus and helps CCC members see the impact of the support they already provide.
Why it matters
Students across Texas balance coursework with jobs, rising costs and family responsibilities. Hunger can make it harder to concentrate and stay enrolled. A lack of appropriate clothing can create another barrier when a student is preparing for an interview, career fair or first day at work.
Food pantries are not about pity. They are about persistence.
Career closets are not a last resort. They are a launchpad.
These campus resources remove practical barriers so students can focus on class, finish their degrees and compete for good jobs. Each program remains campus-led and responsive to local needs.
